The NatAlli Toolkit is a free resource that aims to empower mentorship, entrepreneurship and integration. Designed by the partnership under the guidance of Impact Hub Amsterdam, it supports both mentors and mentees with a migrant background on their professional and entrepreneurial journeys – both in and outside of times of crisis.
Developed under the NatAlli Project and funded by the European Union, the toolkit provides a practical, modular framework that equips users with essential skills, guidance, and resources for personal growth, business success, and community integration in multiple countries, amongst which Germany, the Netherlands and Ireland.
The toolkit offers two suggested pathways, one for mentors and another for mentees. The mentor pathway emphasises preparation, active listening, and cultural awareness. The mentee pathway guides individuals through confidence building, leadership development, entrepreneurial action, pathways to leadership and eventually becoming mentors themselves.
The tools are flexible and user-friendly, allowing mentors and mentees to select the ones most relevant to their needs.
The toolkit is divided into four themes, each addressing different stages of growth and areas of development:
- Mentoring Skills
This section helps establish strong mentor-mentee relationships. Tools include capacity assessments, mentorship action plans to guide your mentee, and resources on active listening, relationship building, and role modelling to provide mentees with inspirational examples of entrepreneurial women. It also provides structured approaches to ending a mentorship while ensuring continued impact. These tools develop trust, clarity, and empowerment for both parties, which are critical for effective guidance. - Entrepreneurial Skills
Women entrepreneurs, especially those setting up businesses abroad, will find practical resources here. Topics range from networking and communication to environmental analysis, market positioning, and creative thinking. There are step-by-step guides on setting up a business in a new country, building a sustainable business model, pitching effectively, and exploring funding options. This gives users actionable strategies to transform ideas into viable, sustainable ventures. - Leadership
Leadership development is central to long-term success, especially when difficult situations arise and require adaptive solutions. This chapter introduces tools for crisis management, time management, self-reflection, and resilience building. It also supports personal leadership development and provides exercises for boosting self-confidence and motivation. These resources encourage mentees to see themselves as capable leaders, ready to influence and inspire others. - Culture and Context
Recognising the importance of integration, this chapter helps users navigate cultural differences, enhance intercultural communication, and strengthen psychological well-being. It also includes tips for peer networking and country-specific integration guides, offering practical support in areas such as housing, employment, education, and healthcare. For Ukrainian women and other migrants, this section is particularly valuable in supporting both social and professional adaptation.
Why the NatAlli Toolkit Matters
Mentorship is about building trust, empowering individuals, and creating resilience. The NatAlli Toolkit acknowledges the challenges of cultural adaptation, gender barriers, and entrepreneurial risk in difficult times while providing practical, structured solutions. By blending professional development with cultural and psychological support, it empowers women and communities to thrive in diverse environments.
